Sizzla Injured from Crash

 

Dancehall artiste Sizzla has been hospitalized in stable condition following a motor cycle crash in St Ann last night. Sizzla, whose real name is Miguel Collins, reportedly crashed along the Salem main road near Runaway Bay around 8:30 pm Wednesday.

Buju Banton Gets Grammy Nomination

 

The 2010 Grammy Awards Nominations was announced on CBS on December 3, 2010. This year’s nominees include troubled Reggae artist Buju Banton (Gargamel Music), who is out on bail, from a recent court trial in Tampa Florida, which led to a hong jury. The broadcast was hosted by rapper/actor LL Cool J , with performances by B.O.B., Bruno Mars, Katie Perry, Justin Bieber and more. The 2011 Award show will air February 13, 2010 from Los Angeles, California.

MIAMI (AP) — On his upcoming album “Before the Dawn,” Jamaican reggae star Buju Banton crows about standing strong, though battered and bruised, in the face of a gathering darkness. The songs sound prophetic — the four-time Grammy nominee recorded them before he was arrested on federal cocaine charges last December. The trial is scheduled to start Monday in Tampa — a week before the album’s U.S. release. He faces a possible life sentence if convicted.
