BET still plans to dedicate Sunday’s programming to Martin Luther King, Jr., even though his memorial won’t be unveiled that day due to Hurricane Irene.The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial was supposed to be unveiled at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Sunday is the 48th anniversary of King’s “I Have a Dream” speech.

A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck Mineral, Virginia, 87 miles outside of Washington, D.C., yesterday. In the Caribbean, Hurricane Irene is still headed to the USA. In the island of St Martin, Danish West Indies, also had a major 5.0 earthquake. Is this is the signs of the last days?

WASHINGTON (AP) — Singer John Legend was in Washington to sing at the White House on Thursday but he had a few choice words for the politicians in town, too. “People fought to give me — a millionaire — a tax cut this year,” he said. “I didn’t need it. And all the other millionaires didn’t need it either.”
